About Us: Calligraphy Maker is a project developed and operated by ArtoMania Studio Pvt Ltd, a company specializing in typography and calligraphy solutions.

Important: These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ArtoMania Studio Pvt Ltd (operating as Calligraphy Maker).

2. Service Description

2.1 What We Provide

• REST API for algorithmic calligraphy generation in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, and English
• Typography generation using proprietary AMS fonts owned by ArtoMania Studio Pvt Ltd
• Customizable styles, weights, and output formats (PNG, SVG, JPG)
• Developer tools, comprehensive documentation, and technical support

2.2 Generation Method

Our service uses algorithmic logic and rule-based processing, not AI generation. Results are automatically generated and may occasionally contain errors or unexpected outputs. This is inherent to algorithmic processing.

2.3 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. While we aim to provide reasonable advance notice when possible, we are not obligated to do so for service changes.

3. Account Requirements

3.1 Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain current contact information
• One account per person or entity

3.2 Responsibilities

• Maintain account security
• Protect API keys and credentials
• Report unauthorized access immediately
• Comply with all applicable laws

Excessive usage beyond plan limits may result in temporary throttling or account suspension.

5.2 Prohibited Uses

• Generating offensive or harmful content
• Reverse engineering our algorithms
• Circumventing rate limits or security measures
• Competing services without permission
• Spam, malware, or malicious activities
• Copyright or trademark infringement
• Illegal content in any jurisdiction
• Violating third-party rights

6. Generated Content Usage Rights

6.1 Permitted Uses (Paid Plans Only)

• Download and save generated content
• Print for personal or commercial projects
• Use in client work and commercial applications
• Incorporate into logos, designs, and branding
• Share with team members and clients
• Use in websites, apps, and digital products
• Create marketing materials and advertisements
• Include in books, publications, and presentations
• Use for merchandise and physical products
• Archive content for specific active projects (not for general-purpose libraries)

6.2 Strictly Prohibited Uses

• Selling or reselling generated content as standalone products
• Redistributing content to third parties for their use
• Creating competing services using our generated content
• Uploading to stock sites (Freepik, Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, etc.)
• Creating digital goods platforms offering free or paid downloads
• Building content libraries or databases of generated calligraphy for future use, even with paid plans
• Systematic archiving or bulk downloading for creating personal content collections
• Giving away content as promotional items or freebies
• Mass distribution through any channel or platform
• Claiming ownership of the font designs or algorithms

6.3 Usage Clarification

Individual Use vs. Library Creation: Generated content is intended for individual, specific use cases as they arise. Users may not systematically generate, collect, or stockpile calligraphy content to build comprehensive libraries or databases, regardless of their subscription plan. Each generation should correspond to a specific, immediate need or active project.

6.4 Important Legal Notices

Font Ownership: All generated content uses proprietary AMS fonts owned by ArtoMania Studio Pvt Ltd. You receive usage rights, not ownership rights to the underlying fonts.

Quality Disclaimer: Generated content is produced algorithmically and may occasionally contain errors, artifacts, or unexpected results. Users should review content before final use.

Responsibility: Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of generated content complies with applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights.

7. Payment Terms

7.1 Billing

• Monthly billing in advance
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• Proration for plan changes
• Right to change prices with or without advance notice

7.2 Refunds

• 7-day money-back guarantee
• Prorated refunds for downgrades
• No refunds for usage-based charges
• Refunds processed within 5-10 business days

7.3 Payment Failures

Failed payments may result in service suspension after a 7-day grace period. We'll notify you before any suspension occurs.

8.2 Response Times

8.3 Support Response Times

8.4 Service Credits

If we fail to meet our uptime commitments, eligible paid customers may receive service credits. Credits are calculated as a percentage of monthly fees based on downtime duration.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Font & Technology Ownership

AMS Fonts: All font designs, typography algorithms, and font families used in the generation process are the exclusive intellectual property of ArtoMania Studio Pvt Ltd. These fonts are proprietary and protected by copyright law.

• The Service, algorithms, API, and documentation are owned by Calligraphy Maker
• AMS font designs and glyphs are owned by ArtoMania Studio Pvt Ltd
• Users receive limited usage rights, not ownership of underlying technology
• Reverse engineering of fonts or algorithms is strictly prohibited

9.2 Your Usage Rights

What You Can Do:

• Use generated content in your projects
• Modify generated images for your needs
• Include in commercial work (paid plans only)
• No attribution required for generated content

What You Cannot Do:

• Claim ownership of font designs
• Extract or recreate the font files
• Sell fonts or typography as standalone products
• Create competing font or API services

9.3 Important Clarification

You receive usage rights to the generated calligraphy content, not ownership rights to the underlying AMS fonts or generation technology. Usage rights are subject to the restrictions outlined in section 6 above.

10. Liability & Disclaimers

10.1 Algorithmic Generation Disclaimer

Important: Our calligraphy generation uses algorithmic logic and rule-based processing, not artificial intelligence (AI) generation. This algorithmic approach means:

• Generated content may occasionally contain errors, artifacts, or unexpected results
• Output quality can vary based on input text complexity and language characteristics
• Some character combinations may not render as expected
• Results are automatic and may require manual review before final use

User Responsibility: You acknowledge that algorithmic generation has inherent limitations and agree to review all generated content for accuracy and suitability before use in production environments.

10.2 Service Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service operation
• Perfect accuracy or quality of generated calligraphy
• Specific uptime or performance levels beyond our SLA commitments
• Compatibility with all systems or software environments
• Continuous availability without maintenance windows

10.3 Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Errors or inaccuracies in generated content
• Third-party claims arising from your use of generated content
• Damages exceeding the fees paid for the Service

10.4 Quality Limitations

No Quality Guarantee: Due to the algorithmic nature of our generation process:

• We cannot guarantee pixel-perfect or error-free output
• Complex text or special characters may not render correctly
• Generated content may require post-processing or manual adjustments
• We are not responsible for production losses due to generation errors

10.5 Your Responsibility

You are fully responsible for: (1) backing up your data and API configurations, (2) compliance with applicable laws and regulations, (3) proper testing and validation of generated content before production use, and (4) ensuring generated content meets your quality standards and requirements.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

• Cancel anytime from dashboard
• Email us for account deletion
• Service continues until billing period ends
• Data deleted within 30 days

11.2 By Us

• For terms violations
• Non-payment after grace period
• Fraudulent or abusive behavior
• At our discretion with or without notice

11.3 Data Retention

Upon termination, we'll retain your account data for 30 days to allow for recovery, then permanently delete all information unless required by law.

12. Legal Information

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of San Francisco, California.

12.2 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or change these Terms at any time without prior notice. While we are not obligated to provide advance notification, we generally aim to inform our users of significant changes when possible through:
